Memorial Hermann to offer Health Insurance
After nearly three years of planning, Memorial Hermann Healthcare System is reentering the health insurance business. The 11-hospital system has joined forces with UniCare Life & Health Insurance Co. to roll out health plan MHealth Insured Inc. MHealth is a collaboration between the Houston-based hospital system; its physician group, Memorial Hermann Health Network Providers; and UniCare, a subsidiary of Indianapolis-based insurance giant WellPoint Inc.
